How Sponsors Contribute

The primary benefit sponsors get is visibility within the developer community and close interaction with your target audience. Your logo will also be displayed prominently on our website (ottawacodecamp.ca) and we will highlight all our contributors on our web site.
If your speakers want to participate in the event, they can apply using the Call for Speakers form available on our website. Note that we will not tolerate marketing or sales demos - the presentations must be technical, using accessible tools and code. Please refer to the Call for Speakers form or our website for information about content and topics.
For example, if you are a company that sells components, you may want to consider providing a quick tutorial on how to design a basic component (rather than demo your prebuilt components).
At the beginning of the day, we'll be handing out to each attendee a "welcome bag", consisting of the day's schedule, marketing literature, developer magazines, product catalogs, trial product CDs and any other goodies (pens, keychains, t-shirts) from our sponsors.
At the end of the day, we will be drawing some attendee prizes. One or more licenses for the full version of your software would be appreciated. If you have other products/items/services that you'd like to contribute for the prize giveaways, please feel free to share your ideas.

Transferring Money to the Code Camp
The easiest way to process your contribution is by credit card. You will receive an electronic invoice for your records. Jean-Rene Roy from DevTeach inc has gracefully offered to process the credit card payments for us.
You will receive an electronic invoice/receipt for your records. Note that you will be charged in Canadian dollars. As of the 8/21/2007, the exchange rate is 1.00 USD = 1.06310 CAD. We must charge 6% GST (Federal goods & service tax). For sponsors in Quebec, we must also charge the PST (Provincial sales tax). Your credit card statement will display the amount in your local currency. If you prefer to pay by check, the Website will allow this and the amount to be paid on the invoice will be listed in Canadian and in US dollars. You have the option to pay by check in US or Canadian dollars. Please use the following links to register as a sponsor and to process you payment. Note that it is the same registration interface used for the DevTeach conference but displaying the Code Camp sponsorship options.

IMPORTANT: If you send us material or software licences to be drawn, we request that the commercial invoice included in the package be of a value of less than $20 and labeled as promotional items. Otherwise we will be charge duties and taxes.
